Hope not

I also think we're probably one of the 'nicest' jobs to have in many ways at the moment. There's very little pressure beyond the target of staying up, and as far as I can see we don't have a meddlesome board trying to stick their hands into player recruitment etc. It seems like DA gets told the budget, maybe tries to get a bit more wriggle room, then gets trusted to use it well. (This is not ITK stuff, just what it seems like from the outside). We don't have a training ground, but do have access to good facilities at the university. Not a big budget but no huge unrealistic expectations.

With manager sackings such a regular thing (especially at clubs like Bradford), the support and long term backing of our board is quite a valuable selling point of the club.

All good points, Little Shrimp.

I would also add that if he was to get us promoted or even into the playoffs then his stock would rise significantly and he'd have a better calibre of jobs on offer to him. Bradford, sure they are a big club on paper but they are very unstable and don't offer the things you've mentioned above. It always seems tempting to go into these 'big clubs' and be the one to turn them around. It's never easy. Look at how many managers have been into Sunderland and consider how many who had failed before Bielsa came in?

Derek Adams has completely reenergised our club in just a year. What a change he's made. On Saturday, we played some of the best football I've ever seen Morecambe play in the 25 years I've been following them and he's getting the absolute maximum out of the squad he has (new players and the one's inherited). If he left now, it would feel premature and if he backs himself he may perform something short of a miracle. If our success was to continue, we would either then have to sell Derek on being the next Accrington / Burton or reluctantly accept his ambitions to take a step up and let him on his way with our blessings thankful for the job he's done IMO. The club would be in a strong position for someone to come and take the reigns and credit to our club, we have an excellent track record of appointing the right manager at the right time.

And now Aaron Wildig is being linked with a January transfer. For me, he epitomizes the work DA and his coaching staff have done at the club. I have always rated Aaron but his injury record and not being played to his strengths have hindered his time at the club. He hasn't looked back since that Volley at Carlisle. Looks a class above these days and hope he stays as well.

It’s no surprise that Aaron is being hunted, he and Phillips have been instrumental in our decent form in midfield.
He is settled local, his misses has a job local, hopefully we have shown faith in him, he will reciprocate??
Where has the rumour come from btw?

Rumours came from twitter, but the clubs he's been linked with are either battling relegation (Wigan, Burton) or on the other side of the country (Oxford, Charlton, Plymouth). Given the fact that he lives locally and has a young family I can't see why he'd go barring a huge wage increase.

If it’s from the same ‘transfer ITK’ account (efl_hub I think) that I heard the rumour was on, then I’d take it as a pinch of salt. I had that account muted from previous windows because it’s a hugely unreliable source. I’m going to go out on a limb and say that I’ll never post again if Wildig goes to one of those clubs in January!

Completely agree with what everyone’s saying - very talented footballer but why would he leave? And also, he had quite a few years of looking okay but not anything special so I would be confused if teams came in for him after a fairly short spell of great form (in comparison to his entire career).

And it’s all but confirmed that Paul Hurst apparently will be the next Bradford boss, with Derek falling to 10/1 now :D

Valid comment about the source, it does come up with crazy links. There is no smoke without fire and like Freez rightly says, Aaron and Adam have been putting in some eye catching performances. I think Aaron signed for 12months so we could also do with extending that as security is key for lower league footballers.
