Just been talking on Radio Lancashire about COVID-19.
I had [wrongly] thought that players down to League Two were being tested regularly. Apparently, that isn't the case. Our players will only be tested prior to the FA Cup, but not before then.
Probably too late now, but I wonder whether we should have tested prior to Christmas, so that if we did have any COVID-19 positive staff and/or players, they could have isolated before the Chelsea match?
Alternatively, if we had to postpone any games, would we rather lose the Chelsea match and get thrown out of the FA Cup, but not have a League Two fixture backlog? I kind of think, I'd rather miss Chelsea than League games. Losing games due to COVID-19 when we're in such a great position would be really frustrating, if we ended the season with too many matches in short time period, then missed out on Play Offs or even automatic promotion, then the Chelsea game is irrelevant.
Weird world, weird season.
