DA's post match comments on OWS

Sounds as though Derek had a number of issues before the game which wasn't ideal both at the Stadium and at the teams hotel.

Not sure what those issues are but certainly in Derek's prematch preparation they seemed to have had an effect.

Next up Walsall so let's hope that the issues mentioned do not effect Tuesday's game.

Once again it looked as though our physio Simon was absent. let's hope that it's not too serious.

DA certainly has the stress of the whole day etched on his face in the interview. YES to everything he has to say, as far as I’m concerned. Hopefully Tue is more trouble free off the pitch, and points on it. COYS.

Hear what Derek said here:

I wonder what `the issues' he refer to were...

I listened to the Orient commentary on Saturday. They highlighted that both managers had to be separated by the officials at halftime. No reference to this in Adams interview, but Ross Embleton has revealed that there was a disagreement about how the route he (the O's boss) had taken to get to the technical area from the stands, and Adams took exception to it.

Wonder what the problem was at the hotel and the ground? Strange that the manager had to go to the ground in a taxi!

If DA told his story in chronological order, it sounds like an issue at the ground necessitated his going in a taxi by himself to sort it out (before the players arrived?). Then he returned to the hotel to deal with another issue there.
All covid-protocol related I would guess. If so, good that we take it seriously.

Good on ya Derek.....

What this shows to me is how dedicated he is to the club and his players he is in charge of at the time.

As a club we are very, very fortunate to have such a manager and long may it continue.

What surprises me and to some extent is annoying, is the lack of praise and acknowledgement of the excellent transformation in our team and club since his appointment that he receives from certain SVers who during the JB reign refuted and criticism of our former great....

“But on our tight budget no-one else would want to join!” - Wrong!
“No-one could do any better than Jim” - Wrong!
“Jim plays defensive football because it’s all he can afford with our budget” - Wrong!
“Our poor home form isn’t Jim’s fault, it’s because of the new stadium” - Wrong!

I could go on for many more commonly accepted excuses about our past performances, but DA has certainly proven many wrong, and as you say, a lot have never acknowledged their short-mindedness in the past!

Viva la Adamslution!

I can think of very few who have not sung Derek's praises and been very grateful for the manager we now have. This harking back to the Jim days (whichever way you look at them) should stop.

The biggest one for me is how many players he has brought to Morecambe. Remember everyone saying people only come here because Jim talks them into it and how will we attract players.

I think this year we have seen the Derek Adams way which isn't as free flowing as the end of last season and the players are still learning which is why some weeks we are ok but other weeks it all goes wrong but more times than not it has worked. We are still a work in progress which I am sure DA would admit.

Why can't we "hark" back to the Jim days? He was Manager for 8 years, a significant amount of time in the clubs history.

Nobody has said you can’t, officially, negative or positive. Whatever is important to those that want.
