Watch the goal again and look how far out Phillips was when he first pointed where he wanted the ball from Carlos. They are developing such a great understanding. Lovely goal.

Just about to write that we haven't turned up for this match and then the dynamic duo strike again. Great goal.

I've got the BBC Sport app, which sends notifications on Morecambe games.

Message: Half time - Morecambe 0 Colchester Utd 0

Message: Morecambe 1 Colchester United 0 (Phillips 45'+1)

Carlos and Adam are like the 2 best players in the playground. They can just go to another level and change a game. Adam is having a real influence on games now, he is a class above. Carlos must be in the shop window, his natural talent is shining under Derek.

Do we have a fully fit 11 to put on the pitch ?

Just shows the depth of squad we have. You wouldn’t know we have so many players out. We can still play a basically first choice 11

Thought we started a little better, then Colchester really picked up some impetus after Harriott hit the post. They were all over us after that, and we end up scoring against the run of play. Football eh!

What a gorgeous goal, brilliant vision and pass from CMG and a great calm touch and finish from Phillips. Hopefully will give us a boost going into the second half - will force them to leave a few gaps at the back too possibly.

I wish bloody iFollow would get their act together and agree when the adverts would start, rather than playing them over the top of the commentary team. Was enjoying the round up, then suddenly the adverts come on. Can't be too hard to say that the adds will start two minutes (or whatever) after the half time/final whistle. It would also give the commentary team an agreed period of time to talk in.

Wow, how this game has changed! Phillips magnificent for the second goal, and as I'm typing this a red card.

Surely no way back now? Watching the replay, it's a big tackle but I wouldn't say it's a red. Don't think it was a headbutt either, but he did square up to Cooney which is always a silly thing to do. That said, we've seen reds given against us for less.

Another lovely goal and now Colchester down to ten men.

I think the sliding tackle was a good one but then when Cooney got in his face, he put his head in to Cooney. Hardly touched him, but correct red card.

Harsh sending off, handbags at dawn. Yellow card for the tackle, but red for the face to face? not for me.

It was a poor tackle, but Cooney 'made a meal' of the contact afterwards. A harsh sending off!

I don't think it was a foul, good slide tackle for me. But when Cooney confronted him, he definitely put his head in to Cooney. It was very slight contact for me, but that's all that is required for a red card. Red card & throw in was correct in my opinion.

Not a sending off for me, but they know they can’t lean in with their head.

We are going up!

You have got to be impressed with their managers tactics since the red card. Positive changes have put them on the front foot since the red. We need to get a foot on the ball and take the sting out of it
