Article mentions Chesterfield's new manager has brought in two keepers this window. Guessing he won't go straight to our number one, but will be in direct competition with Halstead for the shirt.

Fighting against two goalkeepers for a start in the National League under a manager who clearly doesn't fancy you, versus fighting against one goalkeeper for a start in League Two under a manager who's signed you before at a previous club. Bit of a no brainer!

No brainier for him maybe.
Considered not good enough, maybe third choice, in a lower league. My instinct is it, Mark H will rightfully keep his no1 shirt, but will stand corrected. If the lad steps in, and proves to be the better keeper, then the 2 at Chesterfield must have some real quality about them. Wish him all the best.

The name sounds familiar or am I getting him mixed up with someone else.

Wonder if true will he make his debut v Exeter on Tuesday... :?: :?: :?:

Hope that Mark remains No1 but DA has so far introduced players into the team who have played for him before....assuming that he has done.

Should be familiar to us, he was first choice keeper at Salford for much of last season and played against us at the Globe.

By all accounts, the Chesterfield fans rate him highly - 5 clean sheets in a row at one point.

If he is signing as a free agent then he must be going on to the wage bill rather than a subsidised PL loanee.

Seen that he's been around the block a bit. DA clearly doesn't fancy Mark as first choice me thinks

He has seen off “Mafumble” and also a budding keeper of the future JT, so wouldn’t make a conclusion just yet.

They don't seem too bothered about him leaving. Worrying that more than one post has commented about his inability to cope with crosses into the box. Sounds as though there are questions about his lack of control of his area.

Judge for yourselves.

Exactly. Having said that Baz was a bit shaky on crosses but I think they gave him a lot of grief before he came here.

I thought Andresson did a great job for us whilst he was here, especially when you consider he had just a few days to train. Certainly would be happy to bring him back on a full loan next season, very impressive for a 19-year-old.

Will he now return to his parent club or will we extend his stay for another period following the signing of another 'keeper until the end of the season.

Let's hope that Mark returns ASAP and retains the number 1 shirt.

Understood he was an emergency loan which surely means he has to return to his club now we've signed another keeper. I was a bit surprised we were allowed to play him last night to to honest.

So was I BUT maybe being a 7 day emergency loan allowed him to play irrespective of developments regarding the signing of a new 'keeper.

I suppose the situation with first choice 'keeper Mark determines if we apply for a further 7 day emergency loan..... :?: :?: :?:

So were a few on the Exeter forum. Must have been 100% within the laws(?)

From the Exeter Forum:

City signed Andresson outside a transfer window. Outside transfer windows you can only sign keepers on the rules for emergency goalkeeper loans.

Now we are in a transfer window and you can sign whoever you like.

Whilst it has been described as an 'emergency loan' the emergency goalkeeper rules don't apply to loans within a transfer window - they are just ordinary loans.
