In praise of David 'The Moose' Artell

In praise of David 'The Moose' Artell

I think David 'The Moose' Artell has been exceptional since coming back in place of Henry McStay. As with Danny Adams there were a few negative comments given Henry's form but the stats don't lie and I've never seen us keep so many clean sheets. Him, Jimbo and Danny have been excellent.

He also contributes in other ways. Obviously he scores the odd goal but he was the one who went to the Chester midweek game and spotted their keeper on the back post for corners. Hence in training we practice balling a quick ball into near post and come the match first chance we get Aaron Taylor for 1-0.

The Moose I salute you!

P.S. The Moose comes from the way he runs. A few of us have been determined to come up with a terrace nickname for him and a song. The song was sung to him at Luton away. To the theme tune of Balamory - Daaaa-vid Ar-tell, Daaaa-vid Ar-tell, What's the story of David Artell wouldn't you like to know, What's the story of David Artell wouldn't you like to know. Needs work but he appreciated it.

Fair nickname? Any other alternatives?

Mooooosssssssse!

I thought it was Donkey Dave ?

If only he could pass a ball, he would be in the championship

Didn't the Chester fans name him Moose some years back?
