Bollocks. That was just a statistic. Porto are crap. utd were always going to turn them over after they were crap at OT.

No mate, THAT'S bollocks. This wasn't a record set by accident. It was there because Portugese club s are notoriously difficult at home, if you don't want to give credit because you don'tlike them then maybe silence is the best way to demonstrate your indifference?
As for the other comments, I will never, ever understand how any Englishman can want a foreign team to beat an English one. Personally, i have a huge dislike for Liverpool, but I'd never want them to lose against a non-English team.

I think you'll find Man Utd have bailed us out in the past, including at least one lot of floodlights which they donated to us when we could barely afford to pay the electric bill, let alone replace lights.
As I've said before, I think that clubs like ours are gaining because the Premiership is becoming so expensive and out of touch with more and more fans 'discovering' local football. Hopefully some of the 'floating fans' who came last Friday and saw a cracking match will now come back. So often in the past, when we've had a good crowd, we played poorly, last week we entertained and won well.

I can't for the life of me understand why they can annoy so many people. Is it because of their wealth or their ability to win trophies year in and year out?
Or, as I suspect, just sheer envy?
It may well be the usual British trait of wanting to put everybody down who is successful also being a factor.........

Mark S wrote:Personally for me it is the arrogance of the fans. Someone said to me the other day that we now have a whole generation of young people who have chosen Man Utd because of success and dont know any different. You would realistically have to be over 20 years old to remember them as the perpetual bridesmaid.
