I’m confused at the tone your message...

Anyway... absolutely gutted for Jordan, shown a better side of his game this season and, despite him not being one of our most crucial players, he’s shown his worth to us and his recent performances clearly hade a positive impact on us.

Whether he gets a new deal in the Summer probably now depends on which league we are in next season.

I wonder if this means Pringle gets Jordan’s place as a back-up wide man?

I hope we don't see Pringle. In the rare times we've seen him this season, he has been poor. Much rather see Freddie Price given a go. Pringle must be one of the worst signings the club has had, suspect he'll have a large wage packet too

Slew was a revelation in the Crawley game, best performance since he arrived by far. Hope he can kick on from this injury, all the best to him.

Never deserved the stick he has had since he came to the club from people who don't understand football and individual roles within a team.
Hope he has a speedy recovery and for me, is well worth a deal next season.

How can you form an opinion on the few times we've seen him in action.... :?: :?: :?: He's had rave reviews at stages in his career but has never been given an extended run to show what he's capable of at our club.

DA obviously signed him based on what he's seen at previous clubs but something has happened for him to now be isolated. Maybe he's the type of player who doesn't excel on the training ground....

No news about Alex which remains open to speculation about his future... :?: :?: :?:

Have to admit that his recent performances have changed my opinion of him...

Could be the type of player who needs time to settle in at a new club especially following his previous club(s) where he didn't set the world on fire.

DA seems that type of manager to rescue players career which has been to our advantage, Songo being a classic case....out of contract in the summer with little interest from other clubs and then DA came along with a deal early season and he's now a valuable part of the engine room.

This is bang on for me. Absolutely no doubt he was brought in to add defensive stability in wide areas. The number of times we’ve been left 2 on 1 at left back in recent years caused us a real problem. For me Ellison is our greatest ever player but left us exposed far too often in latter years. I’d also expect that Slew has been instrumental in showing Carlos his responsibilities defensively. Something he has improved on massively this season. This is covered very well in a book called The Mixer. Worth a read if you want to get some basic insight into football tactics

Jordan has stood out recently because he has been directly involved in goals being scored but to say he needed time to settle is wrong. He has been pretty consistent for me. Like Ego says, he does a fantastic job defensively as well as being effective as an attacker. He has limitations technically but his selfless attitude and work rate has been an asset. Without Slew and Sully, you don't have CMG on 12 goals and running the show. If you want him to bag 3 a game and tie a full back in knots then yeah, he might have been a let down. If you want a lad to do a job for the team, work back and be a threat then he has ticked the boxes.

Remember how Big V was bang average and a laughing stock amongst our fan base?

I’ve never been his biggest fan but he always puts in 100% and has certainly improved this season. I hope he recovers quickly and does well for us next season

Think this is a real shame. Slew has been a really solid squad player for us this season. Worked hard as he did last season, but has had a bit more about him this season. Filled in for Stockton when needed and did a decent job, and his last few games he made some really positive contributions from the wing and offered a direct running style which is something our squad can lack a bit at times.

I think some in the fanbase have had an impression seared in their minds by his reputation/fans of other teams. Yes he struggled to find his feet a bit last season, but in fairness he had just come straight from non-league so some rustiness was to be expected, and he always put in a shift defensively.

Regarding Vadaine Oliver - it's a good thing Keith Curle and Steve Evans aren't interested in a majority of the Morecambe fanbase's judgement!

when playing away down South like against Cheltenham this season, DA has the players training at 6am at the University an hour or two before they jump on the coach.

That was down to the previous Manager playing him isolated on his own, i reckon he'd be pretty decent for Morecambe under DA, who encourages his midfielders to attack, rather than sitting back.

While I agree that a lot of the issue with Oliver was down to poor stylistic choices most of the time he was here, he was ultimately putting a big shift in and winning loads of headers and the abuse he was given by our fanbase was really poor.

I think he had his best spell for us when partnered with Collins, who absolutely thrived off the space Oliver would open up with his physicality (I'm not surprised he's doing well with Jamille Matt at FGR).

Does make me wonder if a partnership up top between Oliver and Adam Campbell might have been a bit more profitable. We'll never know now though!

Sickner that he was MotM in his last game, then picks up a serious injury. Hope he makes a full recovery.
