I think that was their claim. No problem with the goal.

Keeper was claiming a foul but he only had one hand on the ball.

One hand is potentially fine, here are the rules:

A goalkeeper is considered to be in control of the ball with the hand(s) when:

the ball is between the hands or between the hand and any surface (e.g. ground, own body) or by touching it with any part of the hands or arms, except if the ball rebounds from the goalkeeper or the goalkeeper has made a save

holding the ball in the outstretched open hand

bouncing it on the ground or throwing it in the air

Can't blame the linesman for not giving that one, super close.

That said if we weren't winning right now I'd be proper pissed.

Looked like a fantastic goal line clearance to me. Good football all round

Not quite. With an awfully flukey run of results, we could finish 9th

We're riding our luck a bit at the moment. Almost a goal from their corner, which is becoming our achilles heel.

Are they though? How many goals have we conceded from corners this season out of interest?

Come on Morecambe, they're seeing too much of the ball. You're making us suffer again!

At the time I wrote it, they'd had a couple of close shots. Did you miss their header from a corner that just went past the post with everyone beaten?

Should be game over now. :D

Yeah, the players were all happy to let their player have the free header 'cause they knew it would "float harmlessly wide". Oldham headers all went harmlessly n to the back of the net on Saturday.

Huge result, Grimsby had lost 1 in 10 before tonight and haven't conceded 3 at home since the beginning of December

Yet another game where it is almost impossible to pick a MotM, with excellent performances all over the pitch. Stockton, Songo'o, Diagouraga, Lavelle, Mellor, Gibson in particular, but my MotM would go to Knight-Percival who was immense.

[Edit] Letheren deserved a mention in dispatches too. A really good performance and a couple of fantastic saves.

Fantastic result and performance to boot. We used to really struggle against physical sides but we coped well against their big lads. They could do with keeping Hanson in the National League!

I think Saturday's result will determine where we finish. We've all but secured playoffs which is fantastic, but just how special would it be if we can beat Bolton and go up automatically? Be great to see if we could get some support outside the stadium before kick off.

Yep, great result :D Except for Exeter and FG other results didn't go our way for a change. Suddenly they all seem to want the title  Makes Bolton game a huge one now.

Really good professional performance tonight! Took a few minutes to adjust to their physicality and the pitch (which Bolton failed to do), then enjoyed the better of the first half to take the lead.

Kept it tight in the second half and although we arguably withdrew a little too much, we defended well and grabbed a nice goal on the break to seal the result. I imagine that was pretty much exactly how DA would have wanted us to execute things tonight.

Hard to pick MOTM tonight! Lots of very good solid performances. Thought Lavelle, NKP and Songo'o all dealt very well with Hanson in knowing when to drop off and when to challenge etc. Was another strong night for CMG too, but I would give MOTM to Mellor today! Generally tidy in possession made some great tackles and seemed to be a good reassuring presence for Price, who I thought showed a good bit of promise! Couple of moments when he looked a little naive and got muscled off the ball etc, but that's to be expected with an 18 year old making his first start! Worked hard going back too.

The other top sides finally won tonight, which makes this win even more important! Also improved our GD which may prove vital - now a few goals clear of Bolton and Tranmere.
