It has given me the greatest pleasure to text and e-mail a couple of customers from work , but strangely had no reply. Deep joy

no i didnt know that at all ,Wasnt a vintage display today against Notts county but 3points is 3points.I think that Michael Twiss HAS GOT TO GO .He's too slow and hasnt got the pace for a League2 player,Hopefully we can claim that 7th place to get in the play-offs

Twissy could still do a top job on the left-wing, great crosser of the ball, and also as the ability to come inside on his other foot

I couldnt get to the game today due to work, but i think at this time of the season its about the result. Its going to be very interesting who Sammy lets go and gets in during the close season then again it depends which division were playing in.

Two seasons ago, Twissy would have buried his chance in the second half.

Two seasons ago, he'd have scored about 4 from outside the area. But its been so long since he was at the top of his game and its not like he hasn't had enough time on the pitch to re find his form.

Maybe league 2 is too much for him or he's just past it but Twiss needs to prove his worth in these last few games or its time for him to be let go. I know he's been a great player for the club but he seems to have lost his confidence long ago and never truely regained it. Why doesn't he take men on or shoot anymore? What's happened to Twissy? It's sad because he's such a gifted footballer.

He's older. All players (especially at lower levels) slow down as they reach the last few years of their playing careers and have to adjust accordingly.

Maybe so but he (should) still have the same shooting ability - why doesn't he use it?

WHAT!?!?!?!?!?!?!
How can a topic go so far from the point... from going ahead of Bradford to getting twissy out?

How pathetic, twissy is still one of our 'better' players when compared to some, and can do the job frequently.
Maybe sammy knows what he's doing when he plays a player on the left wing with a right foot so often, (but with a player like twiss) hes a great player to bring on and is like a wildcard - when performing bad he can lift the team and bring something new to the game to try and push for a goal
I can win a game of connect four in three moves ;)

Come back and comment when you have seen more than three games this season.

Putting yesterdays performance aside, his link up play is still good but he's just not much of a flair player anymore.

Its just over a month since Michael was pipped for League 2 player of the month !!

Give the guy some support, he is a Shrimps legend.

Its great to see the Shrimps continuing to do so well again...congratulations to the team. Twissy made some mistakes yesterday but he certainly wasn't alone with that...he worked hard to get the ball; it was unfortunate that when he did, his strategies didn't always pay off.

Sock it to em for the next few games lads - you can do it!

According to Stuart McCall "The wheels have come off" Gerraway!

Whilst it's a laugh and a joke to take the mickey a bit, in view of the Bradford kids who come on here, their large loyal support deserve a lot better. They've gone through hell really.

I'm glad they're still here, from a selfish, money generating for Morecambe point of view but feel for their supporters. It says something about the people who run the club really doesn't it? Contrast that with the likes of Exeter, who have gone down, and instead of being the big time charlies, have got on with it, improving each year, and now, in the box seat for 2 successive promotions...

michael twiss is a fantastic footballer , yeah i know hes not the twissy of years gone by, but hes had a lot of off the field problems. i realy hope he doesnt go at the end of the season , as he is probely my all time fave morecambe player. he has the ability to take players on, and hes so good on the ball , ands his shooting ability is second to none. twissy jus needs the confidence again, and people gettin on his back aint gonna work. i think he will be a morecambe player next season, and hes gonna have a good season!! up the shrimps

I agree. Its just that he hasn't been firing on all cylinders for a long time and I just hope he refinds his confidence soon.

Roche
bentley
Yates
Stanley
Howe
Drummond

(Hypothetically) If we won the play offs and went up, imo these players could all cut it at league 1. Then we have numerous others who I'd say are more borderline but could probably be squad players at least. Aaron Taylor, I feel, could perhaps make it in league 1 if he reached his full potential.

*Roche ;)

And tbh, on paper, our squad is probably too slow for league 2 but we make up for it in other areas and have a good team.
