there are 27 different possible outcomes for Saturday's matches involving Cambridge, Bolton and Morecambe.

Win Win Draw, Draw Win Win, Lose Draw Win - etc. etc.

Of these 27 possible outcomes 10 would see us promoted automatically.

We're that close.

There is only 1 combination of results, out of 27, that fail to see Cambridge promoted automatically - Lose Win Win

But if we win, Notlob draw and Cambridge lose 16-0 then they don't get promoted !

:) Yep, I did notice that.
Weirdly though I did dispense with that possibility but your absolutely right to note it so we have 11 out of 27 possible combinations for the automatic promotions albeit one of them having the small print underneath of a 16+ loss to Cambridge.

Anoraks of the world zip up.

But, what if Cambridge draw, Cheating Wanderers win and Morecambe win 12-0?

So how did that work out then?
