I definitely think this should happen. We really need a party to see out our Centenary season and this should be part of it. This would be our chance to salute our players, management & backroom staff for a fantastic season.

See you all after the game!

surely Mr Johnson and his new MP were just taking a leaf out of the socialists May day parades to celebrate a massive boost to an "incompetent" Government!Keith wrote:sandgrown wrote:if we are auto promoted, then gathering at the ground afterwards won't jeopardise fans inside for the play offs

That has NOTHING to do with it. I'm not for one moment suggesting that the Regulations make any sense whatsoever. This incompetent government has been useless throughout the pandemic. Johnson and his cult of personality were happily celebrating in Hartlepool yesterday, with no masks or social distancing.
BUT
The regulations that are in place, mean any gathering would be illegal.
If fans are allowed in to play-off games, it will be subject to local authority approval.
Lancaster City Council have history of making 'odd decisions' when it comes to Morecambe FC. They will decide if fans can attend or not.
Now they 'probably' wouldn't use the gathering as an excuse to refuse a safety certificate. But they MIGHT.
If you are confident that some un-named bureaucrat working at Lancaster City Council won't make an arbitrary decision using the illegal gathering as an excuse to stop fans attending, then I'm impressed with your faith & confidence in local & national government.
If we go up today, fine, go fill your boots (probably with rain water!)
If we don't, then just remember, Carlisle Utd had fans attend a game earlier in the season while we weren't allowed to, even though, at the time, Morecambe as a district had lower COVID-19 levels than Carlisle.
The Regulations make no sense, but they are the law.
Lancaster City Council will decide if fans can attend a Play-Off game if they pass the club's COVID-19 Risk Assessment. Why risk giving them the excuse?

..... just for once Keith needs congratulating.

Track and Trace, which the government keep insisting is NHS, has been a waste of space delivered by SERCO.
But don’t let the truth spoil your days.

The youngs lad made plenty of noise and after 15months, they deserved the chance to gather again.
The Stewards were fair and the Police handled the situation very well.
