What a contrast to the Bolton lot. Surely the league should take a point of them and give it to us :D

Maybe the PoY Awards should be put on hold until we are allowed back into the Stadium when we can celebrate and congratulate the manager and his players in a one to one environment.

People need to bear in mind that there is an expected influx of our travelling community friends to Morecambe this weekend, so perhaps a large gathering of our fans outside the ground, on Westage, near the Hurley Flyer may not be seen as a good idea in case the area is already busy?

I definitely think this should happen. We really need a party to see out our Centenary season and this should be part of it. This would be our chance to salute our players, management & backroom staff for a fantastic season.

if we are auto promoted, then gathering at the ground afterwards won't jeopardise fans inside for the play offs :!:

WHEN our promotion is confirmed i would think fans are going to be congregating in an orderly manner somewhere near the ground. After all it is a historic day for all at Morecambe fc! I'm surprised with this subject headline this thread hasn't been blocked like another similar one!

The scaremongering is laughable but also very very predictable. No evidence of any significant outdoor transmission of covid. If you don't feel safe then stay away, pretty simple really.

See you all after the game!

That has NOTHING to do with it. I'm not for one moment suggesting that the Regulations make any sense whatsoever. This incompetent government has been useless throughout the pandemic. Johnson and his cult of personality were happily celebrating in Hartlepool yesterday, with no masks or social distancing.

BUT

The regulations that are in place, mean any gathering would be illegal.
If fans are allowed in to play-off games, it will be subject to local authority approval.
Lancaster City Council have history of making 'odd decisions' when it comes to Morecambe FC. They will decide if fans can attend or not.

Now they 'probably' wouldn't use the gathering as an excuse to refuse a safety certificate. But they MIGHT.

If you are confident that some un-named bureaucrat working at Lancaster City Council won't make an arbitrary decision using the illegal gathering as an excuse to stop fans attending, then I'm impressed with your faith & confidence in local & national government.

If we go up today, fine, go fill your boots (probably with rain water!)
If we don't, then just remember, Carlisle Utd had fans attend a game earlier in the season while we weren't allowed to, even though, at the time, Morecambe as a district had lower COVID-19 levels than Carlisle.

The Regulations make no sense, but they are the law.
Lancaster City Council will decide if fans can attend a Play-Off game if they pass the club's COVID-19 Risk Assessment. Why risk giving them the excuse?

surely Mr Johnson and his new MP were just taking a leaf out of the socialists May day parades to celebrate a massive boost to an "incompetent" Government!

This Government has delivered on its vaccine commitment and just for once Keith, Boris needs congratulating.

As for LCC making odd decisions regarding Morecambe Football club, more Fitton Bollocks. Didn't they chuck us £250,000 interest free to build the North Stand at Christie Park?

Think you will find the vaccinations were delivered by the NHS successfully??
Track and Trace, which the government keep insisting is NHS, has been a waste of space delivered by SERCO.
But don’t let the truth spoil your days.

That's fine, but at least have the right rationale. If you think I'm being a boring wet fart, at least acknowledge that it has nothing to do with the risk of COVID and everything to do with the risk of Lancaster City Council pulling a plug on a potential play-off.

Hopefully, there won't be a play-off for us and you can most certainly have a party outside the Mazuma.
Hopefully, if there is a play-off game, the council won't care about any illegal gathering today.

But if Exeter [or whoever] fans get to watch Exeter v Morecambe but we have an empty stadium for Exeter v Morecambe, you'll at least have had your celebration today, so that will be good eh.

I was trying to ignore them... Appoint a wealthy Tory backer, who happens to be married to a Tory MP, to take billions of pounds to run the Track & Trace. Obviously, her experience in charge of The Jockey Club made her the ideal person. Give millions of pounds PPE contracts to friends who didn't even need to bid. Have the Health Secretary award contracts to his sister, in a company he has shares in. Buy PPE from Turkey, then discover that it wasn't fit for purpose. Introduce 'Eat Out to Help Out' despite the scientists saying it was a dumb idea, then be surprised when infections went up. Avoid a short lockdown, as the scientists advised. Keep schools open, against scientists advice. In fact, ignore science throughout. Johnson boasting that he would carry on shaking hands with people, against scientists advice... then catch COVID-19 and end up in hospital.

Keep swallowing the lies lads rather than the evidence. Still, he got Brexit dun din 'e?

Was great to be part of a crowd again and to applaud our fantastic BoD's, Owners, Players and Management.

The youngs lad made plenty of noise and after 15months, they deserved the chance to gather again.

The Stewards were fair and the Police handled the situation very well.

Seconded. As a younger fan it was great to be there today with a few friends and enjoy the atmosphere again. A good turnout and I hope we can celebrate again by winning the playoffs!
