That was a pretty poor game, harsh red. Regarding his ban I'm not going to "judge" him too much based on something that can happen in the heat of the moment.

Arrogant official in my opinion.
Stems from an away night game at Exeter probably 8 or 9 years ago. We had been holding on comfortably to a 1-1, Reuben Reid came on as sub with five minutes left.
First chance he got, he drifted into the box and with nobody within a yard of him, threw himself to the floor, Darren Drysdale, ever the showman, realising it was in front of the huge banked home end, dramatically points to the spot. The Exeter commentators area laughing, saying it wasn’t a foul and he should be booked for diving. Reid smashes in the pen despite the protests. Exeter score again in injury time, as we are all incensed at what was a home town penalty, and we drive home after what looks like a hammering to a 3am finish in a game we should have easily got a point!
Driving out of the ground, a massive brand new BMW X5, plate was something like, DRY 5 D, or something the like, blacked out windows and huge allows. Pulled out without looking and nearly blind sided us.
He is as blinkered off the pitch as he was on it that night! :D

That’s why I don’t like him!

That sounds remarkably like the 16/17 season, I don't think it can be any other, I remember the dive for the penalty and then McAlinden scored their 3rd so it has to be that game. The referee was Lee Swabey.

That does sound right to be fair. Could well be another he against Exeter where they got a soft penalty given by Mr Swabey. Only remember his name so clearly because he was pretty much the only subject of conversation on the way home lol

Quite interesting looking back on this thread now - I think the ref's arrogance last night probably played in our favour. He didn't really flinch or buckle with all the moaning from the Tranmere players, which was good!

Overall thought he didn't have a bad game. A couple of questionable calls here and there (expected from any ref at this level tbh), but I thought he was generally pretty fair.

Very glad to see him book Vaughan after leaving yet another late challenge on one of our players. Shoved NKP into an advertising board, smashed into Letheren when he had plenty of time to stop and put in a nasty late challenge on Gibson. Very good player for this level but a real horrible streak in him. We kept our discipline well last night.

Is it the same referee for the 2nd leg or do they send a different one ?

Thomas Bramall refereed both our matches against Barrow, mistakenly sending a Barrow player off at the Mazuma. We won both matches
