Bradford Linked with Adams

It looks like this could really happen! Lot's of sources, inc the Scottish Sun are saying he is set to take over Bradford after the play offs and sign a 2 and half year contract. :(

If DA was sacked the club would have to pay him hefty compensation. The club should receive hefty compensation if he left before his contract expires unless there is a get out clause in the contract.

To be honest I think the first year in League 1 (if it happened) would be much more precarious without DA. Any change in management would disrupt just when we should be hitting the ground running let alone the likelihood of losing key players.

I'm worried!

It looks like regular news outlets are now just copying the Twitter posts about the saga, so I wouldn’t see it as being any more likely just because some newspapers are saying it. And also, why a 2.5 year contract? Surely it would be a 2 or 3 year deal considering we are in the summer.

This is just me trying to find holes in the story to prove to myself that it’s not going to happen! However it is very worrying indeed!

If this is all speculation then why is the club not saying so , it’s not helping morale in the lead up to the playoffs .....Cone on MFC give us some communication if this is all nonsense . I guess no communication means watch this space !!!

Pure speculation at the moment but this is something we'll have to get used to as DA's profile increases.

Any move to another EFL2 club for me would be a sideways move. A move to EFL1 or above is another matter however and one that our BoD would find difficult to refuse.

However whatever happens DA has turned our club around and deserves our gratitude.

I agree, this is all we need heading into the play offs! No doubt it will have an affect on the players.

I suspect that OUR club has a policy not to comment on what is at the moment pure speculation.

Rumours like this will be common place over the months and seasons ahead as DA continues with his success of rebuilding our footballing credibility and the time will come when DA assumes control of at least an EFL1 or Championship club following his outstanding success with MFC.

The Brat fans seem to think Adams is going there after the play-offs. Let's hope our board tell them to swivel if they ask permission to approach him.

We'll find out after the play offs but I doubt we'll ever know the full story!

It could be a contract clause which states Derek can talk to other clubs if approached.

Let's hope that all this speculation doesn't affect our play off chances.

As for the Bratford claim I'd like to think that it's wishful thinking on their part..... :?: :?: :?:

Mmm! I'm not sure that the speculation is a good thing for the team. It's certainly not a good thing for us fans

when Derek Adams was appointed i'm sure Rod Taylor said after a lot of applicants only a handful were interviewed with Derek the pick of them.

anybody know who the finalists were, heard Kevin Nolan was one of them?

Now on at 1/4 with Sky Bet.

There is often a notion that bookies have some kind of ITK intelligence from secret sources, but that generally isn’t the case too often. Especially at our level.

It’ll more likely be just a very keen eye on reports from journalists and chatter/rumour mill stuff. They’re more likely to be looking at Newsnow, Twitter and stuff Alan Nixon posts than have info from a club CEO etc.

I noticed on Twitter that a lot of Bratfud fans are asking bookies for odds on Derek getting the job.

Hopefully Derek is just busy training with the team?

I'd like to think even if he has his heart set on Bradford, he wouldn't sign anything until after the play-offs are done. I'm sure Bradford would wait for him if he was interested.

Bookies do react to a lot of bets going on, hopefully it is their fans losing a pile of money. I'm sure Derek will stay focussed hopefully the players do
