Tranmere did well in the first half but once DA had a word or two at half time they were left unable to get close to our goal. We pretty much controlled the second half and stopped them putting their mainly aimless crosses in, left them playing sideways and backwards football like we used to play!black morse wrote:P/T Indie wrote:I'm wondering if Derek will throw a surprise and change formation. He may have known what to expect but it didn't do them much good did it?
They have to score so will have to have a go at us. We are at our best on the counter attack so this will hopefully play into our hands.Keith wrote:They will have to go at us, right from the start. I wonder if our best response may actually be to go at them straight from kick-off, before they get any rhythm?
It's stating the bleedin' obvious, but the first goal is so important. If we score first, they will be under massive pressure and they'll leave more gaps for us to exploit.
One thing for sure, we've got a mentally tough, physically fit group of lads who will be battling to the end.
