1-1 at full-time & extra-time. Ellison ends his long Football League career by ballooning his penalty over the top of the stands, as Morecambe win 5-4!

So how did that work out then?

This will definitely be 2-1 win for the Shrimps. :D :D :D

Kevin Ellison to come on as sub for the last 20 minutes, but will fail to score, despite his best endeavours!

Morecambe 1 Newport 2

Just think Newports attack will be that bit stronger than ours on the day

Really really hope I am wrong though

3-1 win. Need to start like we're down 1 since it's pretty much guaranteed Kev will be scoring.

It will be very tough for the players to mount a rearguard action like they did against Tranmere (in the first half especially) on a pitch of Wembley's size and have much left to fight with if it goes beyond 90 minutes. Derek Adams seemed to acknowledge that the tactics might have to change for Monday in his interview after Tranmere I think. On that basis, they are going to try and kill it in normal time and that, hopefully, means 2-1.

You might be right the other night they brought 3 experienced players on and it made all the difference, I do wonder if we are behind who can we bring on that is a game changer.

I'm interested to see what Derek tactics are for a one off game do we sit back early and absorb the pressure or go at them early like we did on Sunday.

Actually, I seem to have fallen for an urban myth. When I look it up, the new Wembley pitch is the same length as The Mazuma and only a meter wider. Surely some mistake! On that basis, 2-1 for sure.

Stadium might be a lot bigger , but not the pitch, should be our advantage as Rodney Parade is much smaller.

Wembley 105m x 69m
Mazuma 105m x 68M
Rodney Parade 102m x 65m :o

1.1

The players were probably slower and it took them longer to run the length of the pitch! They were exhausted by the time they did.
