I think if we are able to play as well as we did this season we have a decent shot at staying up, especially if we're able to keep DA and make a few additions.

Unfortunately I'm not really sure what the team will look like come start of the season and it could very well be a short stay. I'm going to enjoy it either way.

Let's enjoy the experience of more technically minded and quicker football whilst it lasts.

We may surprise everybody (whoever is the manager) and swiftly establish ourselves as a club worthy of the promotion.

No disrespect to Accrington, but if they can do it then no reason not for us to do it either.....

As DA has said numerous times it's not always about money more about desire and team togetherness.

As i suggested many months ago the cost of EFL1 will see an increase in expenditure but all the new sponsorship deals created over the last 3 to 6 months will help us through the difficult times although I do remain concerned about its affordability long term.

But let's enjoy the ride and see where it takes us....

We are not that far behind Crewe and Accy on budgets and they did ok last season.

Surprised at the Cambridge and Cheltenham as well.

Maybe just an increase of £300K to £1.5 would do us and maybe that might be covered through extra revenue from the EFL.

We have nothing to fear. We have had 14 seasons in league two. We were destined by many to go down we didn’t and shocked a fair few along the way. League one is no different apart from half a dozen big clubs with bigger fan base and more financial clout. Apart from Charlton, Sheff Wed, Wigan and Sunderland we have played the rest and beaten a fair few of these sides. If we keep Derek we can follow the good work of Sammy McIlroy. If we don’t keep Derek we move on. I don’t see why we can’t follow what Accrington have done and better. It’s going to be an interesting summer.

Theres is distorted due to loan players, Ched Evans is on £4K a week. But the top 3 earners are on loan from Everton, Swansea and Blackburn.
