OK guys, I will try to answer some of the issues raised in this thread but I will not come back on to comment further. Of the 2 questions asked I could have answered Yes to both so it was a weighted poll! I fully agree that our supporters and the town deserve a parade. We are intent on growing our fan base and will be announcing our strategy on that over the next few weeks. DA would not have attended such a parade, as is his choice, he has moved on and will be fully focused on his future. Myself, Graham and the BoD would not have been able to attend a parade at the moment (although, before someone says it, it is not about us, it is about the whole MFC family). I'll give you a snap-shot of the past week; Monday: Wembley, awesome day and high. Tuesday: Got to bed at 3am, back to the Stadium at 7.55am for Radio Lancs, MFC business all day with TV, etc, and the euphoria of the previous day quickly evaporating as we started to deal with the manager's situation. Wednesday: More of the same, many conversations, telephone calls, Zoom meetings, sat down for tea at 11pm. Thursday: Face-to-face meetings with football and non-football staff, then players. Numerous other telephone calls with players. This was a crucial day as we had to furnish the EFL with certain information by close of play, fielding calls and emails regarding the vacant manager's post and reviewing CV's, ate earlier though, 10.45pm! Graham, Mick and other BoD members have had a similar week. Friday; well here we are, I'm taking a little time out to reassure you that we are doing all that is humanly possible to secure a quality manager for MFC, that amonst all the usual planning (and we have LOADS going on) for the new season in L1. Honestly, we would have loved a parade, relax, a few beers with you all but...........our sole focus right now is the correct appointment for this football club, to pick up that baton and move on. We thank DA for his magnificent achievements here but we also have to move on and quickly! I hope you all understand. COYS!
