I hoped we would get Toums signed up but i thought he was a dead cert to join Derek. This is great news, he will be vital this season. The way he and Cole have spoken about SR is encouraging.

Have to be honest, I was not expecting that. I thought he would follow Adams as he has done before but maybe he saw something in SR when he spoke to him that convinced him that the grass IS greener this side of the Pennines.

The news keeps getting better ad better.

Another blow for Adams.... :?: :?: :?:

Great news but I was surprised, as I thought he would join DA as it’s more local to him I think

Really positive news. As others have said, I expected him to follow Adams to Bradford. It is great that we are now in a position to compete with Bradford & other clubs that were historically big, such as Bolton who Cole rejected.

So how did that work out then?

Superb news again! A lot of the new recruits are more likely to be younger, so it's great to have someone of Toums's experience and quality in the group. Can play deep midfield and box to box, and again I'm excited to see how SR uses him!

On the Bradford links - while the location makes sense, they have a good set of four CMs already in Sutton, Watt, Cooke and (presumably) Songo'o. That said, Toums is a player who would add something to every League Two team!
