Arthur Gnahoua Signed

Gnahoua joins the Shrimps from Bolton Wanderers, the Frenchman was one of seven players who were released by the Trotters last month.

"I'm looking forward to being a part of this team," said Gnahoua.

"It's a good club to be at and almost getting automatic promotion last season and then winning the play-offs shows how good the side is.

"My strengths are getting on the ball and creating chances, I'm hoping I can bring that to the team and score some goals this season.

"Hopefully we can do well in this league, I'm sure it's going to be tough but the gaffer is putting together a good team here and I'm looking forward getting started."

Robinson added: “I am really excited about getting this signing over the line.

"Arthur can play anywhere across the front line, he’s quick, has an eye for goal and has the ability to change a game in an instance”

I think it's a good signing this. Bolton fans all seem to rate him relatively well. Always worth remembering that just because one club doesn't offer a player a contract, doesn't mean that he's rubbish. Different managers, different systems, different environments etc all make a massive difference.

Personally, I think he brings something which we've lacked for ages, which is pacey and direct dribbling. SR looks to have a history with players in this style. Also has the odd screamer in him.

SR as played 4-3-3 before at Motherwell so might see a front three of

Arthur Gnahoua - Cole Stockton - Carlos Mendes

Bolton fans are saying he simply didn’t have enough game time to properly prove himself. He got an impressive return from very limited minutes. He doesn’t seem likely to be a regular starter for us - hopefully more of an impact player who can show the impressive off-the-bench performances he showed at Bolton. Apparently he comes across as a likeable guy so that’s always good for the dressing room!

Don't love the signing. Think he will be a liam mcalinden like player backup for our starters. very low whoscored rating

If you want to feel a little more positive about the signing, I cannot stress enough how much you shouldn't take much notice of Whoscored ratings

Especially for someone who came on mainly as a sub.

I think it's going to depend on like Little Shrimp commented, different system, manager, and environment. S.R. is the manager who's got to settle him into all these things.

Watched the video highlights and he gets a thumbs up from me. Seems predominantly left footed but can use the right. With the right players around him ready to take advantage, he should open up defences.

Loves to drive at players, never has played with Derek, just like Gnahoua I’ve heard

When looking at 28 appearances, it’s much more beneficial to actually look at minutes played - he only played the equivalent of 10-11 games for Bolton last season, yet got 3 goals and 5 assists, along with some fantastic play that can help the team drive forward to find an equaliser.

He looks like he’s fairly inconsistent, hence why he’s not a regular starter, but that willingness to try and beat a man and being confident that he can make something happen will be vital for us.

There is a really strange vibe on here at the moment. SR is putting his team together and i'm pretty sure he knows he has to have at least 11 players to field a team without some of the plonkers on here banging on about it.

Read the Twitter thread about this lad, Bolton fans have nothing but good words to say about him. Give the lad a chance and get behind the new Manager.

From a Bolton fan

King Arthur signed for the shrimps. Mendes Gomes & Arthur on the wings will be bloody dangerous for full backs. Good to see him get a L1 club, very humble & likable pro who can change games late on from the bench. Proper tidy player with magic in him if given the freedom, wish him all the best
