Ryan Delaney signs

Just announced on Radio Lancashire Sport.

For me that's an excellent signing and will be an ideal partner next to our Captain Sam...

Both 24, both released from Bolton, both willing to put their body on the line, Delaney left-footed, perfect mix!

And when I say “released,” him and Bolton couldn’t reach an agreement, so it’s likely he would’ve stayed in their League One squad if he was happy with the role he was being offered. Not too shabby!

First team football probably. And maybe also trust in him. A lot of players just what a club that values them and we’ve given him a two year contract, starting in L1.

He struggled to start for Bolton for most of the season, so he's definitely after a starting place. If they still wanted him I'd say that's a bit of a coup for us

Was actually starting pretty much every game at the start of the season when Bolton had a back three. They went to a back four, then he got suspended shortly after and wasn't able to displace Baptiste who hit good form.

Like you say, I reckon he's after more regular football as the official line from Bolton seems to be that he wasn't able to agree a deal, and it seems like there may have been a bit of bad blood between him and the club over this.
