Pre season friendlies

Postby redrobo » Mon Jul 05, 2021 5:12 pm

We've got a game down in Worcester this Friday and another 3 scheduled to date.

Hopefully news of others will be announced this week.

I’ve got a bit lost with the Covid restrictions, are we allowed to go watch the Workington game?
I’m not sure if away fans are allowed until 19 July :?

If you don't wear any colours they wouldn't know your an away fan and as non league grounds don't have segregation I can't see an issue with just turning up and paying on the gate.

Burnley tomorrow behind closed doors.

Barnsley Friday also behind closed doors.

Could be at the Uni or at their respective training grounds.

Suppose we are awaiting a COVID report from the lashers as to if the game gets the green light,
Fingers crossed

According to the Burnley Fans Forum site, they reckon today's game is at their training ground Gawthorpe or as it is now called The Barnfield Training Centre

Didn't realize that we had an U23 side. If we have then would have been newsworthy.......

Sounds very similar to the Academy in that we get to hear very little about them.

Maybe now that Drummy and Waino appear to be in the manager's thoughts more and more we will get more updates about both the Academy and U23s.

Certainly hope so.

Don't know that we have a full time u23 side. It may even just be Bootle's interpretation. I suspect its just our academy side

Away to Barnsley but sounds as though we can keep a track of what is happening from 2pm.

Hopefully we'll be given details of our team(s).
