Looking at the prices for away tickets in League One according to Football Ground Guide, the average price for an away seated ticket (many stadiums are all-seater, so there are no cheaper alternatives) on the day is £24 (assumes lowest category of game, some games deemed to be more popular are more expensive). We are comparable to what many clubs charge on the day although slightly more expensive to sit down..... quite a few clubs seem to offer discounts for tickets purchased in advance - which used to be the case with us also, although not anymore.

It was also noticeable that many clubs offered discounts to home fans who were part of a the clubs official membership scheme, i.e. not applicable to away fans. I think perhaps the club could should look into this once season ticket sales are completed. It was something that they did announce would happen last season, but never occurred.... and subsequently gave the club a big headache in the home leg of the play-offs when formulating a priority scheme for non-season ticket holders.

Quite a few teams are yet to announce their match ticket prices for 2021/22, but hopefully teams like Sheffield Wednesday will reduce theirs significantly..... £42 in the Championship last year! Ouch!!!

I feel that the cost of a season ticket with all the reductions being offered would be more than sufficient to entice a regular fan to purchase one. Anyone on an official members list should take advantage of the cost reductions of a season ticket.

I've just purchased mine, I wasn't going to bother because I probably won't be able to get to every game but with it being so cheap compared to buying a ticket on the day it made sense.. so what's a E ticket...lol.

Prices are fair enough really. The hardcore will get season tickets. Occasional fans will pay the money for the big games. Also the club can expect around £39k in gate receipts when the away tickets sell out.

I broadly agree, and have been pushing the benefits of being a season ticket holder to friends and family. I do think we should have a membership scheme for the reason I outlined; priority tickets for big games. Its also a great way for people who don't feel they can commit to a season ticket, to support the club financially (through a membership fee) and perhaps benefit when they can attend on the off occasion (£2 off match day pricing seems to be broadly be what other teams offer). The club discussed doing this last season, but did not progress it beyond a website statement. It'll be useful for the club to retain information on supporters who aren't season ticket holders, but semi regular attenders to games or even a passing interest. The club openly admitted that the data they hold on its customers is not very robust, which is a polite way of saying it!
