I'm not on Fakebook, but there's a video on Sky Sports where he pronounced it an Icelandic way, which is really early on and it wouldn't let me rewind, then he goes on to Anglicise it exactly as you've described. I've tried listening twice, and the Icelandic version sounds like Yuhkle Andresson, like you say with emphasis on And. Also a short video online of him giving Icelandic words for footballing terms; some of the pronunciations are a bit odd, TBH, but that's exactly why I love languages, our own included.

Yes sorry I said Andrèsson is just like that, it's how you pronounce it there but for me we do say son which rhymes with don not sun that's why I said it's just like that forgetting that you guys pronounce that differently. With Ö in Swedish(which is obviously a different language but similarities especially with this letter)it's kind of like the U sound in word like fur so possibly how you're pronouncing it there just hard to read it as opposed to listening

I personally think 24 is a good amount for the start of the season. We don't want to be heading towards the 30 mark in squad size. It wouldn't surprise me if an academy player or two popped up on the bench in a Pizza Cup game, but I doubt they'll be used much throughout the season.

I'm hopeful of seeing them feature a bit more in a year or so!

Seems like all of last season’s remaining players have kept the same number, e.g. Mellor 2, so it doesn’t look like SR puts as much weight in squad numbers as DA did when he dropped O’Sully from 7 to 16!

ideal scenario with Sam Lavelle would be a 2yr contract but with a sensible get out clause and trigger fee to sign him so we get a decent transfer fee and Sam gets a dream move.

Sam is signed with an agency so they will be pushing for the best deal possible. Its a big contract for him so I hope he gets it right. I'd love to see him stay but with only 12months on his contract the club need him to commit or move him on in this window.

Difficult one this. Should we keep him until the January window and then see who is in for him after a half season at EFL1 level OR do we do what is right for Sam and let him get the best deal he can both for our club and Sam himself.

I'd never hold any player from improving his wages and improving his status in the game. Sam deserves the chance of a move at this stage in his career but just hope it's at Championship level and not 'say' Salford City....despite the money they have to make a realistic bid for him.

Wage wise I'd like to think that we could offer him a financial package that would be on a par with other EFL1 clubs or very similar for a 24 year old defender.....although I doubt that it's the money that would attract him more the status of the bidding club and the advice he is given by his family and in particular Ben his father
