I thought him starting last night was a bit of a twist in the whole saga. Hopefully a sign that the move to Wycombe may not be happening, although let's wait and see over the next few days.

I think he is that important to lead us through our first season in league 1.Also we are not a poor club anymore and have just banked around 500k from carlos.
Sam is a professional and would still do a good job and he would know when be became a free agent he could get a better move.
I think we would also struggle to get a quality replacement so late in the window.

IF the figure is correct (which I doubt; more like £250K) then the reported fee we are wanting for Sam means that it's a bargain and our club should hold out for a figure around £350K or even higher.

Sam from my understanding is Morecambe through and through but doesn't want to move to another EFL1 club. He just wants to play football but not at a club that he doesn't want to go to.....even if it would be to his financial benefit....

From Wigan fans twitter:
Someone else on twitter said Lavelle plus someone from Bristol City signing today.
It's Twitter so obviously needs to be taken with a giant pinch of salt and Lavelle might just be repeating the earlier rumour that may or may not have been accurate, but thought it was worth mentioning in case there was any truth in it.
If there is any truth i don't see any obvious candidates in the Bristol squad who fit what we are looking for, unless it's a young lad. I couldn't see it being Williams as he is injured again - the poor lad has been cursed since he left here.
