1. We don’t own the land behind the Berlin Wall.
2. The directors, notably Graham, have said that we don’t want to fill the ground with away fans to make it like a home game for them.
At the Q&A, I recall this temporary stand idea being dismissed.
Having said that, there definitely seems to be plans to develop the away end a bit more - sounds like a potential long-term plan if anything.

Developing the away end is the only way at present to increase the attendances when the likes of Sheff. Weds , Sunderland arrive. Until something is sorted with Tyson Fury about the land down the car wash side then that is in limbo , thanks PMG !!
Wild Bill wrote:Definitely need more seats for home fans. Probably only about 1000 currently and almost all are season tickets. If we could add 1000 seats over the North Terrace then the away blocks of the main stand could be used by home fans. Probably not practical but if we stay in L1 it's something we should be working towards.
I have heard that the wall is being moved behind the away end, so the capacity of the stand could be increased.

Have you ever been behind there? I is a crush waiting to happen. Fine for a couple of hundred fans but not for sell out crowds.

Given the visits of Sheff Weds, Charlton, Sunderland, Portsmouth, Plymouth, Ipswich along with local derbies with Wigan, Bolton, Fleetwood, Accy as well as Donny, Oxford and Crewe who will bring a few, it could hinder how many we allow in, and therefore inhibit potential gate earnings.
With MK Dons, Gillingham, Burton, Cheltenham, Lincoln, Cambridge, Wimbledon and Wycombe, a seated away end makes sense.
However, If Tyson earns 30 million for his nest series of fights he could build a triple decker cantilever on the Berlin Wall and name it after himself and we could all relax!!
