Wonder if they need to dial in again? I seem to recall that being a thing Freez would do sometimes.

We've started very brightly at least!

Absolutely unlistenable sound quality for the Home commentary. I have sent 4 emails of complaint to iFollow about it. Very disappointing :( The Away commentary sound quality is fine, but not what I want to pay to listen to :(

There's a fault either with the ISDN point in the press box or at IMG's end.

Crystal clear on the radio.

Switched to away commentary on iFollow.

Apologies, but not our fault and nothing much else we can do. Hammers, trained chimps and witchcraft all tried to fix it!

Big moment in the season this. If they can see it out it's quite a statement.

Wednesday definitely seem to have lost a bit of fight since our goal, but they're still creating opportunities.

Listening to the Sheffield comms was interesting, seemed to be done disrespect. Kept going on about how surprised we would be to see Morecambe winning. Clearly most people still see us as "little old Morecambe." While I wasn't confident we'd win or anything I definitely thought we were in with a shout based on how we've played so far this season.

Hugely surprised to keep a clean sheet though. Full team effort out there today.

Bloody brilliant result but we have played better but who cares....AND to make my day even better....Bratford lost......

With a 10 day break now SR has said on Radio Lancashire that our injured striker should be back in the fold sooner than later.

More competition up top can't be bad and i thought that Greg was especially immense today as was everybody.... :D :D :D

This is a result that other teams will take notice of. They didn't really have loads of good quality chances, thought we did well to largely nullify Barry Bannan who was probably their biggest threat. We looked defensively solid, even more so when we switched to a back three. A really good plan B for us to have up our sleeve and it worked for us today.

Last 20 minutes their playmaker (Bannon) was standing with his back 3 sending long aimless balls into touch mainly! Excellent result against imo an overhyped side! They got relegated for a reason last season, tidy but pretty tame up front. If we ever get a fair ref Cole might get us further up the pitch with the free kicks he never gets as they all seemed to be very wary of him.... and rightly so! Brilliant sit up and take notice of us result today. Amazing attendance too COYS

To be honest I don't care whether other teams take notice of us or not. There are advantages to being thought of as 'little old Morecambe'. It get's taken for granted that they are going to beat you. 'Bigger clubs' don't come looking at your players as much and the same applies to your manager. The 'bigger clubs' and their fans will become aware soon enough ....let them go in ignorance for a while :D

What a great day! From playing teams like Goole & Matlock in front of 250 fans, to a 5,400+ crowd to see us beating Sheffield Wednesday!

Their forum is a delight to read! Second in the League, with multiple wrist slashing going on. If not suicidal, they are furious that we had the temerity to stand up to them, when our role was to roll over and let them tickle our tummy. Frequent posts that they should have 'won 0-5', conveniently glossing over the fact that they only had one shot on target in the entire game, and chalking the OG down as a 'fluke', overlooking the fact that Sam would have put it away if it hadn't been played by their defender.

I thought we played well. Let them have lots of possession where it couldn't harm us, but stopped them creating anything meaningful. The shot that hit the post was a big let off for us, if it had gone in, we'd have perhaps seen a different game, but other than that, the nearest they came to scoring was a miss-judged cross that hit the bar and one good save from Andresson.

Shame the international break has happened (seriously? game postponed because we've too many international players???) because this looks like a great time to play Crewe.

Right, back to the Wednesday forum to count the 'we should be beating teams like Morecambe' comments, perfectly summed up by one poster... "If it had been Sunderland or Wigan I reckon most of us would've been okay(ish) with the result. It's the fact that it's Morecambe that's sending people into a tailspin". :D :D :D
“Britain faces a simple and inescapable choice - stability and strong Government with me, or chaos with Ed Miliband: ".

So how did that work out then?

Great win! Very much a backs to the wall and grind it out result. Think we do need to show far better composure/decision making on the ball, but hopefully that will come as the players get more used to each other.

Wednesday had a lot of the game, but I think we restricted them pretty well. I can't really think of a moment where I thought one of their players should have buried it or missed a 'gilt-edged' chance. The best save Andresson made was actually from an offside! His cross catching today was absolutely superb. Really helped take the pressure off in a few tight moments.

Also very pleased at how we managed to keep Bannan from causing too much damage. This was probably key to their lack of really good chances. As has been mentioned previously, the fact that he was dropping in between their CBs to try and get on the ball more was a very good sign.

Love the back three switch we have up our sleeve. It threw Wednesday and gave us a little spell of pressure which ultimately led to the corner for the goal. Also gave us a few advantages defensively as well. They caused far less trouble in our box afterwards.

Personally, I think we could definitely do with the 10 days rest. There are things that need to be worked on imo when we have possession in trying to make better decisions and pass a bit quicker etc to break down defences. Stockton needs a rest too - played every minute of the season so far (I think) and looked shattered towards the end. And Toums after having a rest is always a force to be reckoned with!

This is probably the 'worst' version of this side we're going to see this season, with players still gelling and a few injury issues that have hit. We've faced some really tough sides in this period and managed to get a few cracking results, which is a big positive.
