Finally managed to find the details and plans / elevations of the applications.

One is for the extension at the rear of the home stand and has been passed.

The second one is to knock down the current wall at the rear of the away stand and build a new wall in line with the current pavement edge and then to extend the pavement into the roadway.

The new wall will increase the width of the current area at the rear of the away stand providing a much safer and increased access flow by approximately 2m making the distance from the rear of the stand to the new wall approx 3m.

This application is yet to be approved.

Both planning applications where submitted prior to the stadium being renamed.

Hope that helps..... :) :) :)

Not in anyway suggesting it's going to happen but we're only 3 points outside the playoffs. If somehow we went up does the ground not need significant changes for the championship? Or is it a case that you have 3 years to make them etc

I think if the current owners and board were at the helm at that time there would have been no chance of houses and the Hurley Flyer, basically sold the family silver, ideal area for a fanzone

FFS.....

How many times have we all read about not knowing what is going on at our club :?:

Now when someone takes the time to let fans know of developments they get idiotic posts posted about them. I really question why I bother at times but one thing for sure posts like above reply make me more determined to continue.

If it bothers some that much.....DON'T READ THEM....simple.

Yup, I thought it was relevant & interesting too. And regarding the planned work, it's also long overdue.

So how did that work out then?

Who owns the other plot of land ? Is that owned by directors/former directors ? That would make a great fanzone/car park.

If you mean the sliver between housing estate and hurley, that was also owned by Graham and Nigel

It looks a bigger plot than the one they are putting a house on. I wouldn't want a house next door to a football ground but obviously someone does.

What was originally planned for the slither between the houses and The Hurley ?

It's only 5 or 6 hours in a 336 hour fortnight though, and that for 9 months a year at most.

A petting zoo, I think?

No, it's on Christie Way, MFC sign will have to go and the access will be from that parking area opposite the club shop, which might not be too easy on a match day

Don't know how accurate the map is, but it looks, to me, as if the access is right by the bollard at the start of Christie way, for Mr. Hanleys new house.
