We needed that! Couldn't make tonight but sounds like Letheren has more than earned his place for Saturday. Gnahoua looked good against Wimbledon going forward and deserves his two goals - great to see the wingers getting involved in our goals.

Superb. Scott and Anthony distribution is something else! Letheren excellent, Leigh outstanding against his former employers, so happy for Wes and Arthur getting their goal contributions!

We are back. Hopefully. Come on you Shrimps.

The whole lot of them superb from start to finish. Bit of a wobble start of the second but Robbo made some astute tactical changes to tighten us up and it worked a treat.

Great result and performance last night , a lot better going forward, than we have been the last few weeks. Crewe were average apart from a 20 min period in the second half, when they were throwing everyone forward, but Robbo changed us to a 5-4-1 & and it worked well. Was very impressed with Wootton, and O'Connor looked a lot more comfortable playing along side him. They could make a great centre back partnership. Wootton is the perfect replacement for Lavelle. Kyle Letheran was my MOM, he made some brilliant saves and kept us in it. The way he commands the area is what we have been missing with Jokkul.
Arthur and Greg Leigh were also standouts, and it was great to see Arthur get a couple of goals, the second being a great strike. The only downside was Cooney's booking, meaning he will miss the game on Saturday, but the new lad McLaughlin came on for 20 mins and looked more than comfortable in that position.

Bring on Stanley!

It's not often that a manager gets the accolades following a great team performance but Radio Lancashire's fellow commentator alongside Quinny made special reference to the role SR had in our win. Complimenting SR on his tactical change by changing to a back 5 at the unfortunate exclusion of Wes who at last delivered some excellent crosses into the box one of which saw Arthur score an excellent second goal which will do his confidence a world of good.

Really really enjoyed my first ever visit to Crewe last night ...

The passion of the gaffer at the end put a tear in my eye - he is working his butt off for our club and should be applauded

We are going to lose games like we do every season but my god what a good squad we have got

To the idiots who have called for the gaffers head get a grip or just stay quiet

10 points from 8 games and 16th in league is a good effort

Can't recall reading anybody even suggesting that he should be replaced. If there is then they are not supporters more like idiot infiltrators of other clubs who are jealous that we've got such a dedicated manager in SR. Nobody expects him to get it right ALL of the time, but to date even MOST of the time will do for me and I suspect everybody else as well.
