Changes in the recruitment department at Bradford FC

Sounds as though DA has got his way regarding recruitment policy going forward.

Not sure but wonder if any of them made recommendations to DA during his tenure at MFC... :?: :?: :?:

and it sounds like they are scouts and not a Head of Recruitment like they had previously.

To be honest he was probably already using them didn't Robbo say he has contacts all over the place that you are constantly using to find out the lowdown on players and who might become available even before they are available.

Stockport County have just taken Olly Crankshaw from them by offering him loads of money and the Bratfud fans are fuming. How dare a non league club pinch a player from the biggest club on the planet?

and says he only thinks there are 16 players that are worth naming in the first team squad.

Sound like the players aren't buying into his methods.

Some of their more realistic fans are writing this season off already, with a view to Derek recruiting his own squad next summer.

Some of their more pessimistic fans think Derek was 'sold a pup' and lied to before he took the job, and expect him to walk soon, leaving Bradford in even more turmoil.

Some of their deluded fans can't understand why they aren't clear at the top of League Two already!

Some of the realistic fans, who are pessimistic, think next season in League Two will be even tougher as billionaire play-thing Wrexham come up and steamroller through L2, possibly joined by another rich-men's hobby clubs, potentially Stockport County. Mind. you, both Wrexham & Stockport better get their fingers out if they want promotion!

A few of their fans have wondered how much Derek regrets leaving Morecambe?

David Cameron. May 4th 2015.
So how did that work out then?

This seems like the more logical way for recruitment to work under a manager like Adams. As we know, he wasn't one to buy into a long term recruitment scheme under a recruitment director etc.

Scouts who report to him make a lot more sense.

Think many of their fans seem to be forgetting they've got quite a reasonable mitigating factor for bad results at the moment with quite a lot of injury issues. We never really experienced issues like that until the last few games of the season, at which point the team were so hell bent on winning and doing the job we got through it.

Also worth pointing out the half season Adams had with us to really evaluate the squad - get a proper look at hidden gems like CMG and give some players a chance to prove themselves like Wildig. Hasn't had that at Bradford coming straight in after the play-offs.

Looks to be a tougher job than anticipated.
