First 11 games (this season and last season)

First 11 games (this season and last season)

Postby Redalert1970 » Thu Oct 07, 2021 8:27 pm

There is quite a few people on Facebook and other social media outlets having a go at the manager and the team so I thought I would look at the first 11 games from last season and this season …

Don’t forget we are in an higher league playing much better opposition

Last season

Played 11
Won 5
Drawn 2
Lost 4
For 14
Against 21
Points 17 / 33

This season

Played 11
Won 4
Drawn 2
Lost 5
For 20
Against 18
Points 14 / 33

We are only 3 points worse off in an higher league so not doing that bad plus we have only lost by 1 goal in all 5 defeats
Last season we got hammered twice in first 11 games

Keep up the great work Robbo

Don't do Fakebook but for me the football we're seeing is what many, including me, have been calling for for several seasons, saying we'd rather see entertaining football and lose 4-3 than negative football and end up in a relegation fight. Robbo's doing absolutely fine for me.

We won 5, drew 2 and lost 5 of the first 12 last season and ended up 4th at the end of it.

Just saying.
And we got spanked by Newcastle, Cambridge and then Crawley!
Just saying.

I wouldn't be surprised if we were pretty close, or actually in, the play-offs this season. We're playing some great football, and have been unlucky not to be on more points, especially Donnie Rovers, where the referee was their MotM.

And we're the entertainers for sure! I love 'if you score two, we'll score three' football!

So how did that work out then?

Blimey how times change! It wasn't that long ago that everyone was more than happy to see us finish 3rd from bottom of league two! Now a league higher playing open entertaining football and because we've lost some ganes it's time for a new manager! Get real
Don't worry be happy!
