Looks like Redrobo is right the pitches at the Uni are causing injuries, that's the reason SR gave for Sean been injured, our bench was very inexperienced today looks like we were down to the bare bones.

I suspect that the Uni ground teams are working to improve the surfaces which may have problem in drainage make the ground underfoot very soft resulting in players loosing their footing during training.

There was a few losing their footing on Saturday. Can't believe they watered it just before kick off.

Wildig now injured again, ankle from the training pitch.

cant see the Uni fixing that for nothing, think it will be a case of “if you don't like it find somewhere else to train”

Seem to recall the Head Groundsman at the Uni being interviewed (many moons ago) and discussing the need for him and the Uni to do work on the training pitches so maybe already in hand.

When Derek was here didn't we nearly always train on the 3G I remb watching lots of videos of using it, I wonder if that was why or maybe the pitches were always flooded.

Unrelated to this topic but I wonder if we have been training on the 3G for short periods of time in readiness for Buxton..... :?: :?: :?:
