ShrimpNet 18 is available now…

The Three Ronnies have Les the kitman and Callum Jones as guests this week, catch up on what’s happening behind the scenes with Charlie, add in Joel and his probing questions and the usual trite nonsense from that other bloke, and it’s a car crash, enjoy!

Great as always, I have a vague memory of Les playing in goal on King Georges field, when we were kids playing on there around 1990.

Les was a very good keeper back in the day. In my 'yoof' I played a couple of games for the supporters club when he was in goals.

The highlight was playing PNE supporters at Deepdale when they had the old all weather pitch which was more like tissue paper laid over concrete, bloody painful if you came down on it. I think they expected to stuff us but we won 4-2. Seem to remember we had a half decent striker from the non league ranks playing for us which made all the difference.

They were supposed to meet us at a nearby pub afterwards and provide some butties to have with a drink. However the sore losers did a no show so we had a couple of pints and cleared off back to Morecambe.

Happy days.

UTS.
