Hope the cock-womble who ran on the pitch gets a long ban. The club may get a fine for his twattery.

I remember going to Grimsby in a semi final about 4 sponsors ago

To put it bluntly, that was absolutely crap. We got what we deserved, and but for the ‘man of the match’ our ‘keeper, it would have been a more embarrassing scoreline.
Totally well beaten. If we had played all night, we wouldn’t have scored.
The pattern of most of the recent games seems to have been start well and then fade out of the game.
The opposition then step up and game over. Don’t envy the managers job in turning this around.

Which is exactly what we said after losing, equally gutlessly, to Cambridge. No 'Plan B'. No-one looking likely to score if Cole is kept out of the game. When he's so closely marked it should open up space for others, but no-one can find that space. If it had been our youngsters & squad players, it wouldn't be an issue, but that was basically the first team minus three.

Thank goodness for the international break, Wigan would have had a field day.

Tonight’s tactics:
Keeper to defender, defender hoofs it, opposition win ball back and attack

Repeat for 90 mins

That was bad, worst I’ve seen for a long time

We are stuck in 2nd gear with too many players coasting through games. We have played 180 minutes against two League 2 clubs and probably had 1 decent shot on goal. We are far too easy to play against and give up without a whimper, back to the future.

It has been like that for weeks now. It is like the old Bentley days at the minute

Might be easier to get Buxton tickets now

I was there tonight and that was spineless gutless woeful

Didn’t think we could play worse than the Cambridge game last week but tonight was a new depth

Don’t want any more excuses from the manager …the team what started tonight should have done better than that

If we play that poorly at Buxton we go out the FA Cup but we have three massive games before that

Where is the next win coming from

Seen a few comments about no plan B, which I don't agree with.

Stockton worked as an out ball a few times, as did big diagonals to Ayunga. Two options up front there. Speaking more generally, we've gotten results from mid-game formation switches before.

The issue for me is we're not executing plan A well enough at times. We're not moving the ball well enough through midfield with our passing like we did earlier in the season.

I think it's more down to mental factors and people not stepping up, rather than anything to do with formations etc.

As a previous manager twice said, it's not about tactics and formations it's about players
