Dave Salmon has described Cole’s goal as potentially the best goal he has ever seen

Think of Beckham v Wimbledon...

https://www.manutd.com/en/videos/detail ... on-in-1996

Well, this was better! Beckham had a bit of time to look and compose himself, Cole had a clearance come at him, used strength to win the ball, had a glance, then chipped it from even further out than the Beckham goal.

Goal of the season. In any league.

Amazing and it's the second time this season he's had the confidence to have a go.# from that distance.

The hug that SR gave him after the game was fully deserved.

AND thanks Lancaster who beat Buxton 1-0 and ends Buxton's unbeaten run after 20 odd games.

:D :D :D

...and he got Darren Drysdale out of trouble too!

How on earth he didn't give us a penalty a minute earlier after Phillips was hacked down??? Dreadful decision that he bottled. To be fair, a few moments earlier, the iFollow/Beyond Radio crew were calling for another penalty, but I thought that one would have been harsh, the lad's are looked tucked right in to his body. But the second one was the clearest penalty you'll see... ...well, apart from the Doncaster keeper's rugby tackle.

Jones MotM, although after THAT GOAL, I could almost forget about everything else in the game!

Jones was excellent throughout.

We certainly needed that win and fitting that it was Cole who scored the winner but it really worries me what we are going to do after he departs in January. We appear to miss Sam but we will certainly miss Cole. :(

Any fans that don’t rate O Connor as captain just watch him at the end

His passion reminded me of a certain Mr Bentley

Callum Jones was Man of the Match, but any of the back four could have been MotM, they were excellent (although, I'm not sure if someone was identifiably in the wrong for their goal?) O'Conner was excellent.

Jones was brilliant today he was everywhere and been very vocal.

I thought fleetwood were pretty poor apart from a couple of quick lads, esp their number 9.

Still worry about the defence thankfully fleetwoods finishing was poor but they had a few good chances. I still think our CBs give possession away to much when they try and play a long pass

Thankfully though we have Cole to produce the magic to get us out of trouble. He deservesd that goal for his efforts becauae i dont think Arthur or ayunga did much.

I think that goal might be the moment that turns the season around it was a massive win.

It takes time to establish yourself as a captain and Anthony seems to be doing that. He was in the Cup team of the week and another fine game today.

I'm happy to see him Captain as I have 100% confidence in Stephen Robinson.

i was actually pissed off and pissed wet through at 1-1 and was mad that we conceded against arguably the worst and smallest side in L1 i've seen this season.

could easily have been 2-1 to them at Corners.
