If the allegation of racial abuse turns out to be correct, will we accept that Quest were acting reasonably by focussing on it? If that proves to be the position, is the racial abuse being 'explained' or 'more acceptable' due to the actions of the Bolton morons?
The attack on the disabled guy is equivalent to the alleged racial abuse because legally they are both 'hate crimes', but the attack took place outside the ground, so again, not up to Quest to focus upon.
We know some Bolton fans were utter scum, but if the racial abuse is proven to be true, then we have to accept the criticism.

So how did that work out then?
