Yes it's a much better start than the other night, but we have to maintain it AND score! So often this season we have started well but failed to take advantage only for the opposition to break out and score.
Not today we hope.
I wish the camera man would wipe the lens!!

Horrible conditions again.

Commentary team saying we've easily had the best of the first half, but they had two really good chances, so far from out of this game.

We need a goal early in the second half which will hopefully take the wind out of their sails.

Well, how to sum that up? We started brightly pushing forward and looked confident. Created several opportunities, but still no goal. They came back into the for a spell and had a couple of heart stopping chances. Then we finished the half well on top. We just need one our chances to hit the back of the net, please!
COME ON YOU MORECAMBE REDS.. We've never needed a goal more than now.

But still only one shot on target.

Lots of possession so far, but we need to get shots in.

After all our effort and chances created, still we can't break through. When will our luck change?
It's certainly not for the want of trying today.
Got to keep tight at the back, can't afford any slip ups.

Wildig for Phillips. I've been critical of Phillips, but he's really worked hard today. Stockton had a half chance but couldn't connect. Ayunga having a good game.

Oh s..t. Just what we didn't want! Why oh why do we get ourselves into this position. So much effort and nothing to show. Now we need the comeback of all comebacks.
League table looking really bad now.

OH FOR F*** SAKE!!!

That's what happens when you SHOOT!!!

Hit the ball on target, especially in crap conditions. Instead, we've had one half shot on target in the whole game. Decent build up & possession is no good if you don't bloody shoot.

Ball played in to Obika, who used his strength (Stockton style!) to turn the defender, then curled it in to the goal. Nice play. COME ON!!!

How did those chances not go in? Their 'keeper makes a great save. What do we have to do to get some luck?
We seem to struggle against sides at the bottom of the league. Let's hope we can take some points off the top teams. The team played well today in terrible conditions, Most of our recent matches have been in gales and heavy rain.
Onwards and hopefully upwards.

Playing some great football. If we do go down it won't be down to our lack of effort. Less booing, which is hard to comprehend, more support required.

I don't think we will go down ,but our lack of shooting from outside the box in wet conditions is crap.

We are far too passive and over play it against the teams in and around us. We shouldn't expect to just beat teams that are struggling, we haven't earned that right yet but really should be going at them at least. Too many sidewards and backwards passes that slow the game down and let teams drop in and smother us. Cole struggled today, just looked really off the pace.

We won't stay up by trying to pass teams to death.

good post BW,

our build up play is so slow and predictable and easy to defend against. we need to zip our passes faster.

when they have the ball we give them acres of space and don't close them down quickly enough, as when they scored.

but we never seem to get a break in the penalty area
