Their goal was a perfectly executed counter attack, from their box to our goal in about 20 seconds but nobody tracked the run of the right back. If you are not busting a nut to track the run you are going to get punished. Wonder goal or not, we haven't worked hard enough to stop it. Be interesting to see it again and count how many players he ran past to pick up the ball.

Robbo says we had 70% possesion but we know that that doesn't always win games. We went up with an average of half that last season. We have to beat teams with desire and an intent to win games not ball retention and completed passes.

Robbo preaches a passing game but we overdue it at times especially at the
back . Maybe a quick ball forward would be enough to put the defence in problems

Would love to see a game where we can cut out their midfield as Jim did against Barnet a few years ago in a 4_1 win with the ball being played over the top for are strikers.

Good to see a bit of quality from Obika. A good goal and unlucky with the second shot tipped around the post by an excellent save. Lets hope he has regained full fitness and gives us some quality in the remaining games. Gnouia just can't finish. It was harder to hit the bar when he did than score but he managed it. Good show of character from the team and we need to win a game unexpectedly soon- Saturday at Shrewbury would be ideal!!

I was a little perplexed and disappointed when, with virtually the last play of the game, we had a free kick and decided to play a short ball instead of punting it into the box.

Glad I wasn't alone! Naive decision making?

The freekick was too straight and Cooney shouted for Shane to go wide to create a better crossing angle. Makes sense but they musn't have known what time was left. The ref would have blown before the ball got in to the box if Shane put it straight in.

Yep the ref didn’t add any extra time their time wasting in stoppage time, played 4 mins extra,I reckon they wasted another minute with their keeper taking the goal kick and again with a throw in

Absolutely gutted not to win that. Thought we were really excellent and properly dominated the game. Gillingham's counter-attacking game plan was executed relatively well in the first half, but they were poor in the second and we bossed them.

Think it was a combination of bad luck, lacking just a little bit of finishing touch and Gillingham defending their box very well that stopped us getting a win.

Positive performance though. Hopefully we can keep those up. Only lost once at home since the turn of the year, and that was a pretty unfortunate defeat against a very good Wigan side.
