Vocal support

Vocal support

I thought the vocal support of the entire home crowd v Gillingham was exceptional.

When we went a goal down the crowd was a wee bit quiet but it soon was full voice willing the team on as they could see that to a man the lads were giving their all to get back into a game that we totally dominated.

Obika's fine strike was just rewards for the team's efforts and was greeted by a level of sound until the final whistle that was outstanding and could be heard at the Giant Axe where my son in law was supporting his home town club Scarboro as they beat City 2-0. He messaged me to say that it sounded unbelievable and the crowd almost to a man really got behind the lads as we went in search of a second goal that would have brought home the deserved 3 points.

Well done everybody especially to the home end who sounded incredible.

That level of vocal support will be needed in the remaining games even if things are not going our way.

Was nice to hear Santa Santa give us a wave after what must have been a torrid week for him and his family.

There is a proper roar from behind the goal now, it is brilliant to hear. It always sounds better when we sing about our own club and players

I love that! :D :D :D

The attendances & support this season have been fantastic. Even if we do go down, it has been a tremendous ride so far. I'm sure there is more to give and I really hope we're doing it all again in League One next season, but even if we are in League Two, if we maintain this level of support, I can see us bouncing back. It is great for an old git like me, to see & hear the support from the new generation of fans.

So how did that work out then?

Also "Sit down if you love Morecambe," nice to add a bit of fun to a ground safety announcement :D

We didn't hear any announcement on the BW, glad it wasn't anything important! Be handy if the speakers were fixed though.

Totally agree the noise behind the goal yesterday was fantastic

I for one didn’t expect 4500 but was pleasantly surprised when I heard what the crowd was

Keep the faith - 14 massive games to go

If everyone could be really quite when they are making announcements, and it isn't too windy we might just be able to make out what the hell is being said on the Berlin Wall! :D
Don't worry be happy!

Not surprised you could hear the Mazuma roar from Giant Axe. I live near there and heard the noise of our winner against Doncaster when isolating

When we played Carlisle in the Conference on either Boxing Day or new Years Day in 2004/5 season I was told by several people that they could hear the roar when Michael Twiss equalised as far away as Heysham Golf Course. The gate that day was similar to yesterdays and we had extra terracing put in the away end so that Carlisle could bring more fans.

During the Bolton game I got talking to two guys on the Bartercard one of whom was a Mackem from Sunderland who now lives in Bare. They told me that it was their first game and one of the reasons was that he could regularly hear the crowd from his house in Bare and it sounded a good atmosphere. Think they may be season ticket holders next season after I told them what a great deal it was.
The funny thing was that I noticed them because they were on the terrace drinking two pints each one in either hand.LOL. They had no idea that it’s not the done thing and when I asked them how they got past the stewards they told me there was only one female steward and she gave them a big thumbs up and a smile as they walked past her onto the terrace. Made me chuckle that one
