Shame that circumstances conspired against John, I'd have loved to see him equal Joey's record of wins, but the big Honda failure, then COVID-19 led to him losing four years of racing. I doubt if we'll see him at the TT again. Still one hell of a successful career.

Criminal how he is treated by this town. The club should make him Guest of Honour for a game. A proper local hero.

He hates football! He came a few seasons ago because his lad wanted to come to a game with his mates. John spent more time talking motorbikes!

Delighted that this prediction is wrong. Not sure how competitive the Fireblade will be, but his experience may mean he's back to speed quicker than anyone else (well, McPint & about five others).

Yeah, but at least he'll be here one last time! I wasn't sure he'd even do that.

The BMWs will still hold sway over the Blade, but at least it might be a bit more competitive. So Hickman and Harrison will be there or thereabouts I feel.

Are the races confirmed to go ahead this year?
I see the Marshals association is being wound up and a new setup is to be put in place. There’s been no mention of refresher training dates, the vast majority of marshals will be out of date or due this year after the previous 2 years cancellations.
It all seems a little short notice, as an active marshal nobody has been in touch with me directly.
