Season Tickets 2022 / 2023

Postby Redalert1970 » Sun Mar 13, 2022 12:20 pm

I know this might be a little early but i have noticed that other clubs are already selling season tickets for next season

Is there any talk of us doing the same thing and maybe starting to sell them early ????

Saw Bolton had already sold 6,000 for next season

Also will the club do a special deal again like this season £150 if they sell a certain amount etc

IF and it's a huge IF we are in EFL2 I wonder if the take up on another superb offer as this season will have a similar take up :?: :?: :?:

The away crowds will suffer that's for sure.

It may be worth the club offering a deal such as, existing season ticket holders can buy one for next season for £60 a month, May, June & July? £180 is still a bargain, but is more than this season. With increased pressures on people's budgets, allowing payment over three months may make it easier for people to renew?

So how did that work out then?

They’re in a sticky situation, because if we do go down, increasing STs doesn’t look ideal when we’ve dropped a level. However, when you set ST prices so low to boost the hype for League One, you can’t sustain that price level with much lower attendances. I’m sure they’ll be well underway with their plans, but it must be difficult with the current uncertainty, both on the pitch and in people’s households.

Don't see the point in selling season tickets right now. I do hope though that the club keep the prices low and whatever division we end up in we can keep a hardcore of 2500-3000 home fans.

I think the club will run a similar scheme with bandings based on take-up as ultimately it was very successful... almost quadrupling the number of existing season-ticket holders, same pricing for terraces but seating might need to be looked at - particularly the kids prices for this area.

If we can average 3k in the league below that will go someway to supporting the structure the club has looked to implement, and be in a good position to bounce back (I mean actually bouncing back.... unlike Alan Partridge) - but hopefully it won't come to that if we can find some wins between now and the end of the season. UTFS.

I think a lot of people would be more than happy with you recollection of things in that this years season ticket covered next season as well however, I am not convinced the clubs finance could withstand losing one of its main income streams for another season (following covid issues)

I wonder if anything could be done about the number of empty seats in the main stand being taken up by season ticket holders who aren't in attendance. Not that I'm having a go at anyone for not attending every single game but maybe a way to return or donate your seat if you can't make it could be an idea.

This was brought up in the recent fan engagement survey:
"In terms of buying a ticket, we are working closely with our ticketing provider, Total Tickets, to identify if season ticket holders can release their seats for general sale if they can’t attend games – this was a comment made a lot throughout the survey."
