Who mentioned throwing everything at Derek to get back to League 1? He needs a top end budget to compete at the top end of L2, not saying we need to sell the family jewels

Err... did you even read your own post?
You quoted "P/T Indie" saying "throw everything at getting back to league 1" then asked; "Who mentioned throwing everything at Derek to get back to League 1?"
It was literally in your own post.

You see, that was your problem, it wasn't a joke about "child abuse", it was a joke about Morecambe not being able to beat anyone. And it was a joke. But you knew that really. Still, you notice how I listened to your 'feedback'?
Bristol Shrimp wrote:It may have been a joke but it was in incredibly poor taste. A friend of mine growing up lost his life at the hands of abusive parents. Not the kind of thing you'd expect to be reminded of on a football fans forum.

It shouldn't have taken me to report it for it to be removed, shameful.

I think he'd have been good to keep last Summer just for continuity even if he wasn't going to be a regular starter, maybe just for the year or even a six month contract to the Jan transfer window. The fact he's been to a few evening matches this season says his heart is still Morecambe. I can imagine he was a good character to have in the changing room and training pitches, not just as a natural leader but also someone who could help all the new players to start bonding together. I'm sure he wasn't a particularly high wage player. Our problem was too much changed at the same time, manager, league, most players, and the current squad simply didn't seem to gel together. I think Robbo once mentioned about some players wearing earphones during training/changing room which really doesn't sound good at all. Football is a team game after all.
