Phillips went down a few miutes ago and was stretching his calf, so a good substitution. He is my MotM and easily his best game this season. Loads of other great performances.

90+5!!!!!!

Well... how are the straws coming on? Still clutching them??? :D :D :D

And that was a superb performance all round. Big game for Oxford now, with them just outside the play-offs, but if we can repeat this performance, who know?

Great result and brilliant team performance. Other results have also helped, so yes, I’m still clutching straws and much more hopeful.

Now that was a Derek Adam's team. Aaron is the perfect captain for Derek, he was vocal and demanding on the pitch which is what we have missed. So much more effort from everyone and we looked a different side.

Coincidence that the Captain was missing on the day our defense records its first clean sheet for ages.

Really good performance against a below par Burton team

Even at 0 - 0 we bossed the game ...we then got in front and totally controlled the game

Every player worked their socks off .. fully deserved win

3 points 3 goals and clean sheet

Can we stay up .... Maybe just maybe !!!

Wednesday is effectively the game in hand on Gillingham it seems. A win would be enough to get above them and that would surely generate some momentum.

A great performance all round! In front of 5,010 morecambe fans in the stadium!! When was the last time that happened in a league match? I know quite a few were freebies for the academies but still. We are in with a fight of staying up. COYS

I think Gibson deserves a mention, he was my contender for man of the match.

Totally agree, he was immense. Phillips, Wildig, Gibson, in that order for me, but I couldn't argue if people put them in a different 1st, 2nd & 3rd. Bedeau, Bennett & Connolly weren't far behind. Connolly was desperate to get a goal. A couple of his shots I'd have been criticising his decision making if it was close, but at 3-0 it was good to see him really having a go. Carson didn't have a huge amount to do, but everything he needed to, he did well. I was surprised Fane came off at half-time, as he was playing well.

Impossible to pick a below average performance.

Having read their fans forum it sounds like they felt that their team was totally ineffective throughout the game.

Not being there to watch other than viewing on the TV it looked to me that their opinions were correct BUT i did feel that we started the game on the front foot which knocked their confidence from minute one and that we played well above our normal standard witnessed too often this season under Judas who seems under pressure already at St Mirran....which delights me no end.

I thought the Fanè/Toums switch was genius. Toums came on and shut the game down with his ability to control the pace of a game. The game changed once they went down to ten and we needed to keep the ball rather than have a ball winner. More evidence of Derek's tactical ability.

We were chatting at half time when Toums came out to warm up, and all said straight away, clever tactic if he replaces Fane. Fane had done a great job but he is basically a bigger and faster Alex Kenyon who wins it and gives it to someone else to play. As soon as Toums came on, as you say, he dictated the pace of the game, and tbf, we could have three more in the second half.
