McFarland's record at Burton is by no means earth shattering, but you've got to consider the circumstances under which he took the job. What Clough left was a side that he had assembled over 10 years ("Nigel Clough's Burton Albion"), in a position that meant anything other than a first place finish would have been unacceptable. A massive no win situation for Roy, as everybody expected him to win the league (which he did, in doing so recording the leagues longest ever winning streak).

I don't think he'll stay, but a look on the Brewers messageboard (I'm turning into an anorak like Marky) shows that some supporters seem to have some ambitious targets in mind:

Remember the Daggers only getting 3600(ish) for the first leg against us. Don't want them up in the league though. Torquay would be a good weekender or Histon?
