Surprising that this is keeping Cooney on the bench. Or, Derek likes Leigh and wants him to play, but after the last couple of games, can't drop Gibbo?

Yeah particularly strange given how we gave that Burton player a torrid time last Saturday when he played out of position at LB. Cambridge line up looks like they're rotating a bit but still some dangerous players there.

Great quick free-kick from Phillips, that was well read and led to a half-chance in the first couple of minutes. Bright start in the first few minutes.

Good game, bright start by both sides. Carson with a good save from Cambridge’s best opportunity.

And a WOW!!! save from Carson as I write!

Bloody hell! Cleared off the line twice in the same attack! Stockton or Gnahoua could have scored!!!

Phillips should have done better with a clear shot on goal, following a delightful long pass from Gibson. It was a pass worthy of a mention of its own!

Really unlucky. Gibbo blocked the initial shot, but the ball fell real nicely for their lad, who had an easy finish. They’ve probably been slightly on top for the last ten minutes. Not out of this.

Another game where we can't defend for 45 minutes

How many times have we conceded in last couple of minutes of first half or second half this season

Every time Stockton is held down, nothing given. He slightly nudges their player, free kick given. How is it that referees never see the arms around Stockton. It’s gone on all season because sides know how deadly he can be. Very frustrating!!

We are giving the ball away to easily, trying to overplay things. Passes going astray too often.
Got to get a grip of things soon or we’re coming away empty handed.
COME ON YOU MORECAMBE REDS. DO IT FOR US.

Not for Crewe, they’re down today as it stands.
(But I know what you mean!)

Yup, we’re a bit ragged at the moment. Mind you, so are they. Tooms on soon?
