I think they need to find a way to avoid having so many seats unusable due to the sheeting to separate home & away supporters in the B block. It was fine when we never filled the seating blocks, but now there's a shortage of seated tickets in the home end, there must be a way. After all, why put seats there at all if there's no way to use them? Can the sheeting not be narrowed to allow some of the B block seats adjacent to the C1 stairway be used?

To be fair it's a great problem to have, who would of believed that our average gates would top the 4000 mark!
As a support I feel far more engaged with the current Board than under the previous regime. The already made improvements behind the home end have made the match day experience far better. Not heard of us running out of pies before kick off this season and yes it is possible to get a half time pint if you need one.
Some of the bigger issues however are going to take time but I have far more confidence in those in charge nowadays.

Good point. I think some clubs have an actual fence. A couple of hundred extra seats to sell would be useful

I agree with a lot of what has been said, we should only think about expanding the stadium after we can consistently bring in +5000 crowds. I think next step in achieving this is making full use of all the seats in the main stand (or as many as possible). Some form of returns system so the seats aren't left empty and the barrier does seem slightly excessive, was it always that big or was that a result of what happened after the Bolton game?

With the reduced capacity of the away and seats lost to segregation and restricted view we can't have a capacity of more than 5500. We definitely need more seats and I would say most new fans would prefer to sit, particularly those with children or OAPs. My Dad started coming to a few games pre-covid but hasn't been all season due to limited seats and generally not wanting to be in an overcrowded place. Watching from the home end has also been a challenge this season. I am over six foot but getting a view is now tricky. The steps are narrow and not very high. Squeezing an extra few hundred in would make this worse and there's also limited space behind the goal and chaotic queuing etc.

Sorry if this sounds negative. It's not but I think the ground does need some immediate investment and I think as a long term investment it will be worth it whatever division we play in.

First let’s fill the stadium and properly establish ourselves at this level, then we can plan the next phase!

JTW Can you say whether the planning permission application to demolish and move the wall at the away end was passed by the council ?

IF we stop up, and it's looking more likely now than for a long time could we break the 3,000 barrier next season. Great value entertainment so I would love to think so!

What I meant Marky was can we sell over 3,000 season tickets this time round up from 2,600 this season. Big ask but if we stop up it should be doable with starting earlier and good marketing!

Sounded more like 3500! Our away support is a joy these days. Every credit to all the young un's who have travelled up and down the country this season in good numbers! What a season to be a Morecambe fan on the road. Credit should go to the people who organise all the travel as well, a thankless and stressful task but vital on days like yesterday.

Hear hear on all fronts, yesterday’s 350 did a proper Sparta job on 10,000 home fans. Huge credit to everyone who travelled and especially to those who make it possible, it makes a huge difference.

And if the Covid restrictions are removed there are seats that are currently barriered off at the front too.

I was talking with someone at the club at the last home game....those seats in row C should be back in use for next season....

I think the fans proved themselves today selling out home areas. With a higher than average away following though we still fell short of 5000.

I hope the directors can see that more home capacity needs to be given next season if we can hang on to our league one status and build on and off the pitch.

Well done to everyone for backing their local team. The transformation has been amazing.
