Will Sammy play a few youngsters?

Will Sammy play a few youngsters?

Last game, nothing to play for.....decent Bournemouth side should be a good test to see which youngsters or reserve teamers stand a chance of making it. I'd expect Taylor to start at least along with a couple of others, especially with Howe gone.

Who would you like to see out of the youth set-up get a small chance to show their stuff?

none
we want three points dont we?
the strongest team out saturday nothing less.......
people wont pay £14 to see a second string side lose
chance to finish 9th 10th or 11th
i want a big vociferous crowd a win and a good end to the season
squad will get every chance in the close season

We don't need 3 points
We need to give some young prospects a chance in a real match
I didn't say a whole second string, I said some should feature maybe 2-3
£14 well spent to see the future of MFC, still seeing a football match at a good standard
Close season doesn't show as much as a real league game
Crowd can be just a vociferous with a couple of youngsters playing

Last but not least we'll still win ;)

NONE.

we can still finish 9th and it would be a boost for next season to finish on a high.

I pay good money to watch the best X1 players possible and not a youth team.

I didn't realise that if we avoid defeat that is only two defeats in 20 games

The higher we end up the more prize money we get, and in time's like these with no income for the next couple of months, the club needs the money. So full 1st team and 3 points please.

it doesn't seem straightforward finding out the prize money for L2, but on the rochdale forum somebody has posted this, apparently taken from an email from the football league itself, if true i think the difference in prize money between 9th and 11th will be minimal!

L2 Winners £25,000
L2 Runners Up £10,000
L2 Third Place £5,000

I wondered how long it would be until the annual "give the youngster a run, nothing to play for" thread is wheeled out.

I was guilty of posting the same thread the season we got promoted, as before a late run to the play-offs our season looked over under stabby (I was at that point still dead against the "et tu, brute?" treatment of Harvey, so wrong on two counts it seems).

Why would it matter for next season if we win against Bournemouth thats just ridiculous and yet again your assuming i mean a whole second/youth team playing. I stated twice that a couple should get a start in the last game. Yeh great you pay your £14 whoopdidoo, you see teams blooding in yougsters all the time especially the higher up you go. Whats the point in having a youth set-up if nobodys prepared to give them a chance, especially at a stage when this match doesn't matter yet its still league2 standard.

Play our strongest team from the start but give Michael H and Blinks 20 minutes at the end, so that fans can show their appreciation to both of these guys who have played a part no matter how small in our rise from the Conf to an established League 2 club.

Play the young 'uns and beat Bournemouth. Easy.

In fact register Christie The Cat and bring on for the last 10 minutes.

Or on a serious matter (apart the Christie the Cat suggestion which was serious) let's just play our strongest side and win. Yeh?

We need to finish the season on a high note, which I think matters quite a lot given our poor start to this campaign which IMO resulted form a poor end to the previous season. If you want to look at the young 'uns go and watch the reserves. When they are good enough they'll be selected on merit.

We should just go out to win the game and carry the momentum over to next season.

"Playing the youngsters" won't have any benefit for one isolated game anyway.

Yet nobody seems to understand the concept of only playing 1 or 2 youngsters. If we can't play with 2 youth teamers say Taylor and one other and play to a decent standard then it'l be very worrying next season if we pick up a lot of injuries to who will step up.
