Hopefully in the near future our list of pre season friendlies will be announced.

To date only the game at Macc has been confirmed.

Four friendlies now listed on the official site. Macclesfield, Stalybridge & Chester are away and Carlisle at home.

Will there be more friendlies announced? I was expecting some more home games vs bigger local clubs, eg Preston, Blackpool......

Perhaps it sounds odd, but I really don't care about 'bigger local clubs'. If we do play Preston or Blackpool, I wouldn't be bothered if they were behind closed doors. Gone are the days when a 'big team' in pre-season was something to get excited about. Playing the clubs we've listed is about fitness & confidence. We're playing Sheffield Wednesday & Derby County as peers next season, I bet they aren't too excited about pre-season games against 'big clubs' like Preston!

Agree Keith for me far better to play pre season against teams that play a more combative game with little finesse. Remember when we were non league we played out of our skins just to get a positive result. DA has picked a pre season that he wants for the season ahead. Good choices for me.

Also are we away a lot because the pitch will be having a lot of work done on it this year? I notice there have still been these fans matches up until this week so work must not have started yet.
