O/T Travel Money Cards

O/T Travel Money Cards

Postby redrobo » Mon Aug 01, 2022 10:55 am

We are about to go on an Adriatic jaunt and have been thinking about using a Travel Money Card rather than taking hard currency with us especially from the safety angle.

Just wondering if any fellow SVers have used a Travel Money Card and if so which of the numerous on the market they would recommend.... :?: :?: :?:

Thanks.

Wise, (was Transfer Wise). I'm sat at Liverpool Airport at the moment, heading to Poland. I have Pounds, Euros, US dollars and now, Polish Zlotty(?) on same card. Paid for my airport transfer on line, in local currency, so no additional fees.

Drop me an email, I may have a referral code (and anyone else wanting one).

So how did that work out then?

Found one that is linked to your bank account an is used as a Debit Card NOT a Credit Card.

Currensea Travel Debit Card. No fees and no need to load up with money as all transactions are linked to your Bank Account so money is taken direct from your account.

Another one where you load money on is the Caxton Travel Money Card. Again no fees.
